I have come to the conclusion that director Lee Daniels loves stirring up controversy. While his current film in production, “The Butler”, adapted from a true story about a Black man who served several Presidents, might be considered tame his next project will not be. Daniels is gearing up to take a look at anĀ  alternative theory about the death of Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Namely, that James Earl Ray is innocent. This is bound to make folks uncomfortable. According to vulture.com, Daniels is going to adapt one of the books written by attorney William Pepper…

Bernice King May Get To Walk In Her Father's Shoes

The youngest daughter of Reverend Martin Luther King, Reverend Bernice King, has been chosen as one of two finalists in the running to become the next leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. If she gets the job she’d be the first woman to hold the post and she’d also be third member of her family to have the job. Note to MLK's Children: Your Squabbling is Killing the Dream

Last month, I wrote on a small blog post about Bernice and MLK III suing their baby brother Dexter because they wanted the books of The Estate of Martin Luthur King opened. There was talk of financial misappropriation. Now, their little brother strikes back and has countersued his siblings. (more…)
