Ciara hit the scene at the Valentino Store on Rodeo Drive with some head-turning style. A center part and long black and blonde tresses. What do you say, yay or nay?
Ciara was out lending a helping hands so that 13 million youth will have the school supplies they need when school starts again in a matter of weeks (yes, summer is on the wane). Staples Do Something 101 enlists teens to pick up supplies at their local stores and assemble special bags for underserved children. Ciara did her part with the teams from The Children’s Aid Society and Dunlevy Milbanks Boys and Girls Club in NYC.
The sisters (and brothers) were out in full force to support the efforts of the HollyRod Foundation. For over a decade Holly Robinson Peete and husband Rodney Peete have been leading the charge to offer support to those suffering from from the debilitating impact of Parkinson’s disease. It’s not just about what people have, it’s what they give and Holly and Rodney take the latter seriously.
Recession, what recession? The beautiful people were out in full force to celebrate The Metropolitan Museum of Arts’ annual gala in NYC. The highlight was supposed to be the exhibit “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” but the real show (as always) was on the red carpet. The handful of sisters in attendance went the gala route and left the costume part to Madonna.
From Fashion Week to the financial meltdown, this fall has been full of highs and lows. When the economy takes a downturn, style trend seem to reflect that. Everyone is scrambling to stay cute and save their pennies. We are recycling our wardrobes and trying to add a few new things that change our look by accessorizing and adding a piece here and there.
