Coko’s second gospel album, The Winner In Me came out a couple a weeks ago but I was too distracted by Maxwell to notice, LOL.Coko let her R&B roots show in her first foray into sacred music with Grateful a few years back and she gives us more in this new CD. She’s also has some great collaborations in the form of Kelly Price on “Oh Mary”, Canton Jones on “Make a Way” and Youthful Praise on “Wait”. But it is when she sings on her own on a song like “I Surrender” that you’re reminded that this sister still has a voice.
