
These days, it seems that no artist records an album without at least a couple of collaborations. And while some are more gimmicky than great others are actually enjoyable. I really like that Teena Marie (who was a white girl singing R&B long before Joss Stone and company) decided to team with Faith Evans on “Can’t Last Day” (from Teena’s latest CD “Conga Square”. Although I’m a sucker for a good love song, this tune will be on ‘repeat’ this weekend because it features two of the most gifted and dare I say underappreciated songstresses in R&B.
