
Back in the day, designers sold their names to licensees that created clothes, accessories and other products that reflected none of the flair of its namesake. Nobody won—especially the designers who sometimes couldn’t get their own names back.  This time around designers are controlling their forays into budget-friendly fashion resulting in not only a win for them but for us too. Joining the ranks of the cheap and chic is Anna Sui, whose line for Target retains it fun and flirty edge. I am especially fond of this Multi-Colored Silk Patterned Dress ($59.99). The criss-cross detailing on the bodice and the hint of skin-baring shoulder action make it hot.
